RESPONSIBILITY:    The role of the L.U.C.H.A. (Learners at University of Texas at Austin Center for Hispanic Achievement) Resource Teacher is to provide leadership for instruction and related services to Bilingual/English as a Second Language (ESL) children and youth in a manner consistent with Board Policy and consistent with statutes and standards of regulatory agencies.

PREREQUISITES:          

•  Bachelor’s Degree;                  
•  Valid Texas Teacher Secondary Certificate Program for teachers or equivalent.              
•  Valid Texas Bilingual Teacher Certificate or ESL teaching Endorsement           
•  Three (3) years teaching experience with ESL or Bilingual students.       
•  Sheltered Instruction Trained                                

 PREFERRED:                

• Technology Skills;    
• Proficient in Spanish Language.
