REQUIRED:

  • High School Diploma or General Equivalency Diploma (GED) in English,
  • Five (5) years experience in A/C and EMS repairs and installations.
  • Environmental Protection Agency (EPA) Universal Certification.  
  • A valid Texas Driver’s License and an acceptable driving record.  

 

DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:

Assists the A/C and EMS Foreman and A/C and EMS programmer in the completion of all A/C and EMS related work orders and trouble calls.  Coordinates the A/C and EMS crews in the correct and efficient repair and installation of A/C and EMS equipment with in the District.  Educates A/C and EMS crews and assists in the enforcement of safety practices and procedures on the job.  Monitors A/C and EMS crews to ensure that all work orders are being completed correctly and in a timely manner.  Assists in the Purchase Order process to ensure that tools, parts and materials are available for A/C and EMS crew.  Provides technical assistance and advice to A/C and EMS crews when necessary.  Oversees the remodeling installations of A/C and EMS equipment to verify that Environmental Protection Agency guidelines and Mechanical Codes are being followed.  Reports any problems within the District as related to the A/C and EMS system to the A/C and EMS Foreman and A/C and EMS Programmer.  Responsible for proactive maintenance procedures i.e., initiating work orders to be completed by A/C and EMS crews.  Communicates between Foreman, A/C and EMS programmer and A/C and EMS crews on a continuous basis to ensure a rapid response to all A/C and EMS emergency calls.  Responsible for the work product of both the A/C and EMS crews and filter changers.  Drives District vehicles to and from work site; obeys all traffic laws Follows established safety procedures and techniques to perform job duties.  Maintains confidentiality.  Maintains a high level of ethical behavior as is expected of all District employees.  Maintains professional growth by attending in-service and meetings as requested/required.  Performs any other duties as assigned.
