Description

The role of the Director is to provide administrative expertise and leadership relative to establishing and maintaining the necessary procedures required for an accurately functioning computer network in the district and other designated areas on a manner consistent with Board Policy and consistent with statues and standards of regulatory agencies. This role involves managing and monitoring the district's local and wide area networks (LAN and WAN), ensuring robust network security, and maintaining internet and email accounts. Responsibilities include implementing regular backup procedures, assisting with technology and disaster recovery planning, and serving as a liaison with software and hardware vendors to ensure product support. This position oversees the district’s technology initiatives, including instructional technology, network services, security, and integration of computer/software systems.

 

REQUIRED:

  • Master’s degree in technology, information systems, computer science or related field
  • 10 years experience in managing and securing enterprise networks, including large-scale user environments.
  • 5 years experience in working with eRate procedures
  • Experience in network design, installation, and maintenance across various technologies and equipment.
  • Expertise in server and database hardware/software, including design, configuration, and maintenance.
  • Experience with cloud platforms and operating systems, ensuring effective system administration and support.
  • Experience with the deployment and integration of technology solutions, including communication tools and IT operations standards.
  • Experience in regulatory procedures and best practices for technology management in enterprise environments.
