REQUIRED:

• Bachelor’s Degree; 
• Valid Texas Teacher’s Music Certificate or enrollment in an Alternative Certification Program or equivalent. 

PREFERRED:

• Knowledge of State and UIL policies governing music education.

The Estudiantina Director will conduct the performing Estudiantina group, provide class guitar instruction, offer basic vocal instruction, provide culturally accurate instruction and be held accountable for the accomplishments of the entire program. The Director will prepare the Estudiantina for participation in extracurricular events, including concerts, community performances, district, TMEA and UIL activities. The Director will make arrangements for transportation, lodging, and meals for events as needed. The Director will also manage all day to day operations of the program.
