REQUIRED:
Option 1:
- Associate or more advanced degree; and
- Valid Texas Health Science certificate
Option 2:
- Associate or more advanced degree;
- Eligible for Health Science certificate through an approved Texas Educator Preparation Program;
- and approval by the Texas Educator Preparation Program of two years of wage-earning experience utilizing the licensure requirement (Statement of Qualifications form (PDF, 305.40 KB)
Option 3:
- Associate or more advanced degree;
- Eligible for a School District Permit;
- Professional work experience; and
- Hold current licensure, certification, or registration by a nationally recognized accrediting agency as a health professions practitioner;
PREFERRED:
- Registered Nurse (RN) license
The Health Science Teacher is responsible for contributing to the educational program as a whole and to the growth of each student.
