MUST UPLOAD HIGH SCHOOL DIPLOMA/GED AND TX DRIVERS LICENSE

 

REQUIRED:

• High School Diploma or General Equivalency Diploma (GED) in English;
• Over one (1) year of related experience in commercial masonry work.
• A valid Texas Driver’s License and an acceptable driving record.

PREFERRED:

• Three (3) years experience

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES include the following:
Maintains knowledge of masonry and concrete work methods and techniques; performs work with competence and thoroughness. Pours concrete and lays down steel reinforcing materials in foundation and sidewalk forms; performs concrete finish work. Erects concrete block units and performs brick laying work.
Places ceramic tile on floors and walls when required; performs all work to established safety standards and specifications.
Demonstrates good craftsmanship and quality work. Reads and comprehends blueprints, and understands basic mathematic principles. Demonstrates knowledge of tools of the trade and masonry, bricklaying and concrete work practices.
Replaces glass blocks where applicable. Performs plaster repairs.
Performs cement work such as steps, walks, and floors. Drives District vehicles to and from work site; obeys all traffic laws.
Strives to promote the safety, health and comfort of students of students and employees in the performance duties.
Follows established safety procedures and techniques to perform job duties. Maintains a high level of ethical behavior and confidentiality as is expected of all District employees. Maintains professional growth by attending in-service and meetings as requested/required. Performs any other duties as assigned by the Supervisor/Director
