REQUIRED:
- Bachelor's Degree;
- Valid Texas Teacher Certification or an *Alternative Certification Program (ACP)
- Eligibility Letter in the following: Special Education Certification
(* Must have passed the Special Education exam from the ACP Program to qualify)
PREFERRED:
- General knowledge of curriculum & instruction;
- Ability to instruct students and manage their behavior; and
- Strong organizational, communication, and interpersonal skills.
- Generalist, Core Subjects or Elementary Self-Contained Certification
The role of the Special Education Behavior Intervention Teacher is provide students with appropriate learning activities and experiences in the core academic subject area assigned to help them fulfill their potential for intellectual, emotional, physical, and social growth. Enable students to develop competencies and skills to function successfully in society.
